Outfitting Adélia at Channel Islands Harbor

Although there is a lot of standard equipment that was installed on Adélia prior to taking delivery, there is still more equipment needed to ensure that we have a safe and comfortable voyage. We purchased a IC-M802 Icom single side band radio system which has e-mail function available and PC connection capability. This system will be used for emergencies and to communicate with other boaters.

Our new water maker gets installed

Next to be installed was a Spectra Ventura 150 deluxe water maker. The Ventura 150 difference is its energy efficiency, light weight, and self regulating system. The Ventura 150 is a compact water maker and is easy to install and use, quiet, very energy efficient, and it delivers over six gallons of fresh product water (24 liters) per hour. It’s ideal for installation in limited spaces on cruising vessels.

Kip cuts into the back locker to make room for the washer/dryer

Wally helps Kip My new washer/dryer combo
My sweet husband decided I needed a washer/dryer on board so he set out to find one that would fit through the small rear cabin door. With Wally's help they were able to get it through.

He found a Splendide Comb-o-matic 5200 which works perfect for what I need.

Kip went up the mast to remove the backstay and install the insulators required for the SSB antenna. Auxiliary power will be complimented by an AirX wind powered generator.
